What a great little motel on Bailey Island. We were driving by and stopped in to a warm welcome from the front desk and decided to stay the evening. The water view is amazing and it has a great view of the cobblestone bridge, which we were told is a historical landmark. We felt relaxed watching the tide come in sipping a glass of wine on the motel lawn. The room was clean and the restaurant across the way was very enjoyable. Nice find for a special evening with my wife. We will be back again. Thank you Chip and Doreen, you made our evening very pleasurable with your hospitality.

Thanks for a great night stay. What a cozy motel with great water views. We have been to Bailey Island every year and this is the first time we have stayed at your motel and we really enjoyed it. It was so much fun to watch the fishing boats go out and pull some lobster traps at sunrise. Spectacular! Great muffins in the morning! Yum, look forward to another return. Thanks for the recipe!!

This motel is small but adequate and clean. We stayed 3 nights and did day trips to Freeport for my LL Bean buys and also a trip to the Botanical Gardens in Boothbay. Bailey Island is a great place to stay and read my book out on the lawn but also close enough to other mid coast towns for shopping and attractions. There is nothing like coming back in the afternoon to watch the sunset and enjoy the view by the water. This is a very quiet location.

This is a true gem of a place to stay! We loved our 4 night stay at this motel. With restaurants and gift shops, local artist galleries, and the ocean where ever you look. These Islands are a wonderful place to hang out and relax. We were able to take our 5pm cocktails out on the lawn and watch the tide change and again at breakfast with our muffins and coffee. The view is ever changing. Last night was a spectacular rainbow and this morning the sunrise was as wonderful. Thanks to Chip and Doreen for providing us guidance to all the hiking trails. We even saw a Eagle on the ledges in front of us! We will be back. Thank You!

Dear Chip, We just wanted to drop a note to you (and Doreen) for your warm hospitality on our trip home from Nova Scotia. It was truly a fortunate circumstance that we met and had the opportunity to enjoy your beautiful place. It’s not often folks, at least around here, would stop to offer help to bikers (and we must have looked pretty ragged by the time you saw us)!
